Hello and welcome!
My name is Lesley, and I'm 29 years old. In May 2014 I will turn 30, and I'm currently in the midst of what I like to call a "third-life crisis". I've decided to use the last 90 days of my twenties to explore my creativity, try new things, have adventures and attempt to become a better version of myself before I "officially" become an adult. I'm not sure where this adventure will take me, but I'm happy to have you along for the ride. Click the "Contact" tab above to get in touch with me! A bit more about me: • I'm married to the best, funniest, most wonderfully weird and incredibly supportive guy ever. • The other love of my life is my 3 year old black pug, Professor Elmer Pugglesworth. He may or may not make an appearance on the blog. • I was born in Viriginia but grew up and have spent most of my life in New Jersey (insert your choice of NJ joke here). I currently live in a quiet little town across the Delaware from Philadelphia. • I have a degree in Art History from the University of Maryland. I also spend a brief (and miserable) stint as a Graphic Design major at Northeastern University, and I took one semester of Fashion Design at FIT in New York City. • As cliché as it sounds, I am head over heels in love with Paris. My first visit was during college, and I've been back several times since. Every time I come home from a Paris trip, I find myself instantly planning my next imaginary holiday. I don't know if it's the bakeries on every corner, the gorgeous architecture, the ridiculous amount of great art, or maybe the wine... but the city has a hold on me like no other. It's my number one dream to live the bohemian-artist life in Paris. • I like making things. Literally anything! I'm something of a Jill-of-all-trades and have dabbled in photography, graphic design, illustration, jewelry design, fashion and probably any other artistic pursuit you can think of. • I change my hair color about as often as most women change their nail polish. • Apart from visual arts, singing is one of my other passions. I sang in a goofy a capella group in college (which happens to be how I met my husband). I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to getting on stage, but sometimes I fantasize about being a kick ass frontwoman in a band. • I also dream about opening my own bakery and tea shop, but I am the polar opposite of a morning person, so it isn't meant to be. • Vingt-neuf is French for twenty-nine. In case you were wondering ;) |
